Several insurance providers created policies that require patients to sign and complete their form when the provider/facility is not a participating provider with the insurance company. Physicians are required to have his/her patient complete the insurance provider’s form when he/she refers a patient to any out of network provider. At this time, Aetna, United HealthCare and Cigna have adopted these policies.
Billing services are now in-house
As of March 3, 2014, Altus Infusion has made the transition to its own billing department to bill claims.
